Denver Ballet 2024

Designed in collaboration with Handsome Little Devils, this installation was for a one-night fundraising event supporting the Denver Ballet.

To build the paper theatre, we used white cardboard material. Rather than stacking layers of material closely, like I commonly do with my artwork, we allowed space between the layers, enhancing the depth and inviting event attendees to immerse themselves in the scene. When the piece was entirely assembled, it was big enough for attendees to step in and enjoy.

The tree, a Handsome Little Devils creation, was made from twisted, weathered branches. We added a whimsical element with hundreds of ballerina leaves made from white, semi-transparent, Mylar material. It was brought to life with animated projection mapping.
