Driven by the recently proven theory that we are all made of stardust – the remnants of exploded stars that seeded the universe with the elements necessary for life – this artwork explores themes of unity and our place within the vast cosmos.
The visual language of the piece features the elegant curves of Art Nouveau (symbolizing the flow of cosmic energy), the reaching heights of gothic cathedral architecture (reflecting our reaching for the stars), and the reversible perspective of the Rubin's Vase optical illusion (underscoring our shared existence).

I use my digital drawings and designs to make each sculpture to order in my Fort Collins workshop. While this results in a near replica, each piece will have unique, one of a kind qualities due to natural wood grain variations, stain customization, and the nature of handcrafted creation.
